What Does It Mean to Provide Technical Assistance?

Technical assistance (TA) refers to the education and guidance provided to entrepreneurs and small-business owners to help them start, grow, and scale businesses.

TA helps build the capacity of organizations in order to operate effectively, then to leverage or access capital, and generally help entrepreneurs achieve their business goals. Network Kansas has traditionally supportedEntrepreneurial Programming, which is delivered to a wide audience and designed to support a community of entrepreneurs on a specific subject or method. TA allows entrepreneurs to work individually or in small groups, with very specific technical providers, achieving impact by providing targeted resources to meet an entrepreneur's specific needs.
