E-Community
Network Kansas embarked on its journey in 2005 and has since grown to collaborate with 500 resource partners statewide, all dedicated to supporting entrepreneurs. In 2006, Network Kansas introduced Start Up Kansas, a comprehensive statewide program aimed at providing gap financing for small business startups. Gap financing serves to bridge the financial divide between the capital needed and the amount traditional banks are willing to lend. Over time, this program has evolved to include the establishment of local Entrepreneurial Communities (E-Communities) across the state. These E-Communities not only offer gap financing options but also provide a wide array of supportive programming. Importantly, the decision-making process for these loans now resides at the local board level, ensuring a more community-focused approach to entrepreneurship support.
As part of Network Kansas E-Communities, we're dedicated to fostering entrepreneurial growth by identifying and nurturing resources that support local business inception and expansion. Our E-Communities provide valuable assets like locally-managed revolving loan funds and access to essential networks.
